Conveniently located at the junction of the A7 and A49 near Kassel, Lohfeldener Rüssel combines top-tier infrastructure with warm hospitality – around the clock. Whether you’re a professional driver, traveler, or businessperson, you’ll find everything you need to make your journey more pleasant: a modern Shell gas station, ample parking, a variety of dining options, comfortable accommodations, and many thoughtful extras.

Since 2013, we – Heidi and Uwe Möller – have stood for quality, reliability, and innovation. Our restaurant “Zum Rüssel” delights guests with fresh cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. In 2020, we expanded our offerings with the addition of the barrier-free Hotel am Rüssel – providing restful sleep in modern rooms.

Since its opening, the hotel has been passionately managed by Alexandra Pieterse. Together with her team, she ensures that every guest feels welcome and well cared for. She is supported by LJ Pieterse, who joined the management team in 2020 and plays a key role in both strategic and operational matters.

In addition to conventional fuels, we offer future-oriented solutions such as EV charging stations, AdBlue, LNG, CNG, and a hydrogen fueling station. Safety and comfort are our top priorities – with over 300 monitored parking spaces, modern sanitary facilities, a truck wash, a 24-hour convenience store, and flexible meeting rooms.

A special highlight is the annual Rüssel Truck Show – a gathering for truck enthusiasts where spectacularly decorated trucks are showcased. The proceeds go to a good cause: the Association for Children with Cancer Kassel e.V.
